Since they began, registered clubs in NSW have played an important role in uplifting their communities.
They have given a sense of purpose to many and continue to provide opportunities for people to socialise, to be active, to gain employment and to contribute to life in our community. Mingara Leisure Group crafted its vision ‘to make a significant contribution to the quality of community life’ to cement this legacy and sees the delivery of this to its local communities as a privilege.
To deliver our vision, clubs within Mingara Leisure Group directly contribute to community, welfare, sporting, health and education groups.
Over the last decade, Mingara Leisure Group has collectively contributed close to $18 million to local communities. Our contributions assist some truly amazing initiatives. Listed below are just some of the projects we are proud to have supported:
Inspiring local kids to fall in love with reading by replenishing school libraries with the latest books and buying books for kids to have at home.
Hosting community events like NSW Cancer Council’s Relay for Life to remember those lost, support those fighting and to raise money for cancer research.
Raising awareness and encouraging women from diverse cultural backgrounds to undertake breast screening to proactively fight against breast cancer through early detection.
Buying vital equipment for emergency services such as the NSW Rural Fire Service and Sea Rescue to support the incredible work they do in protecting our homes, local infrastructure and keeping the community safe.
Our flagship. Christmas Under the Stars events not only unites our local community and spreads festive cheer, but also gives young kids the chance to sing and dance on stage in front of an encouraging crowd. These events also raise significant funds for worthwhile local causes.
We partner with The Salvation Army and local welfare organisations to help those in need.
We help over 30 local sporting clubs, across various sports for both kids and adults. We help them out with uniforms, equipment and give advice on how to run a successful sporting club.
